GoLove AI

★★★★★★
3.7/5

Overview

Quick verdict: 7.4/10, provisional. GoLove AI is one of the most searched AI girlfriend brands right now, and on paper it is generous: sign-up with a Google account and no card, free text chat, free voice messages and free standard photos, more than 350 ready-made characters and a cheap yearly Pro plan. The problem is the gap between what the homepage promises about privacy and what the legal documents say. For a product built on intimate conversation, that gap decides the score.

Legit, with a named company behind it

GoLove is operated by 404 Intelligence LTD, and its terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. It is a functioning service with published terms, a privacy policy and a clear plan structure, so on the narrow question of whether it is a legitimate business, the answer is yes. Whether it is safe depends on what you share with it, and that is where most of this review spends its time.

Two privacy stories

The homepage promises end-to-end encryption on every conversation, says private chats are not stored on internal servers, and offers a one-tap delete that wipes a companion and the full history. The privacy policy and the terms of service tell a different story. Neither document mentions encryption at all. The privacy policy lists the content you provide through your account among the personal data it collects, and says personal information is usually kept for six years after an account is closed. The terms describe a moderation filter that scans conversations with the companions and allows flagged content to be reviewed manually.

End-to-end encryption, in the usual sense, means nobody but the two ends of a conversation can read it. With an AI companion, one end is the company's own system, which has to read your message to answer it, and here that system also runs a filter backed by human review. The homepage claim does not fit the documents.

Where these facts come from

I have not paid for a GoLove plan. Prices come from screenshots of the live upgrade page taken in October 2026; features, privacy terms and company details come from GoLove's homepage, terms of service and privacy policy. Where the homepage and the legal pages disagree, this review says so rather than picking the friendlier version. For the wider field, see our ranking of the best AI girlfriend sites, the list of platforms we cover and our guide to AI girlfriend sites.

Core Features

A free tier that does most of the talking

The homepage FAQ lists what costs nothing: sign-up with a Google account and no card, regular text chat, memory, voice messages and standard photos. Its own comparison table puts the free daily message limit at unlimited. If that holds in practice, few platforms we review give away as much, and it means the conversation itself can be judged in full before paying anything.

350 characters and a creator in transition

The roster covers realistic and anime characters across a wide range of personalities and styles, each with her own backstory, voice and way of texting. The character creator is harder to pin down: a long section of the homepage says the full custom creator "rolls out in the coming weeks", while the site's own menu already offers character creation with more than 60 presets, and both paid plans list character creation as included. The likeliest reading is that a preset-based creator exists today and a fuller one is planned.

Series, streams and scenarios

GoLove goes further than chat in format, if not always in depth. Series are original AI-generated shows released as episodes. Streams let you watch a character, tip her, choose actions and take the session private. Group photos combine up to three characters in one image, and scenarios run roleplay with up to ten characters at once. A few characters also support a live mode with real-time video reactions. Few platforms in our lineup bundle this many formats; the closest comparison for the episodes is the scripted format covered in our Candy.ai review.

Memory: permanent on the homepage, tiered in the plans

The homepage calls memory permanent and free, describing a companion who remembers what you told her weeks ago. The upgrade page lists an 8,000-message smart memory as an advanced feature of the Ultra plan only, greyed out on Pro. Both can be true if free and Pro users get a simpler memory and Ultra a larger window, but the page does not explain the difference. If continuity matters most to you, our explainer on how AI girlfriend memory works sets out what to test, and Nomi AI is built around it.

Stars for images and video

Creation runs on Stars. The plan cards convert the monthly allowance directly: Pro's 50 Stars cover 10 videos or 50 images and Ultra's 250 cover 50 videos or 250 images, which works out to about 1 Star an image and 5 a video. Platforms where pictures carry the experience are compared in our pictures ranking, and Cuties AI is the one to see for images and short clips generated mid-conversation.

User Experience

Twenty seconds to a first message

Sign-up runs through a Google account, with no card and no long verification, and the site puts it at about twenty seconds. Everything happens in the browser on phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install, an approach our comparison of AI girlfriend apps and websites weighs up.

No official app, so skip the APKs

Search data shows people looking for a GoLove app and for modified APK files promising free premium access. Neither comes from GoLove: the service runs in the browser only. Unofficial APKs of paid services are a common route for malware and stolen accounts, and a modified client usually cannot unlock features that are controlled on the company's servers anyway. Use the website.

An upgrade page built for urgency

The upgrade page leans hard on pressure: discount badges on every plan, a countdown timer on the yearly offer, a promo code button and an option to add extra Stars at 15 percent off during checkout. None of this is unusual in this category, but it is a lot of noise on a page whose fine print deserves a slow read.

Deleting a companion is not deleting your data

The homepage promises a one-tap delete that wipes a companion and its history. The account and your personal data are a separate matter: the privacy policy says personal information is usually kept for six years after an account is closed, and that retention periods can change for business or regulatory reasons. The policy does describe a right to ask for deletion where there is no good reason to keep data, so if you leave, make that request in writing. Our guide to choosing an AI girlfriend app lists the other questions worth settling before you sign up.

Pricing

Two plans, two billing cycles

GoLove sells Pro and Ultra, each billed monthly or yearly. These are the prices on the upgrade page in October 2026, in US dollars.

Plan Monthly billing Yearly billing, per month Stars a month
Pro $13.99 $4.15 ($49.80 a year) 50, about 10 videos or 50 images
Ultra $49.99 $24.99 ($299.99 a year) 250, about 50 videos or 250 images

Yearly plans add a one-time bonus of Stars, 50 on Pro and 250 on Ultra. Ultra also brings a discount of up to 30 percent on Star refills, the larger 8,000-message memory, access to more powerful AI models and priority creation. Both plans include adults-only content, character creation, voice messages and calls, the full feed and image creation.

Struck-through prices at exactly double

Every price sits beside a crossed-out figure: $27.98 next to Pro's $13.99 and $99.98 next to Ultra's $49.99, exactly twice the real price in both cases, labelled 50 percent off. On the yearly view, Ultra's $24.99 sits beside $83.30 under a 70 percent badge. The useful comparison is with what you would actually pay monthly. Yearly Pro saves about 70 percent, and the page's own "save $118 compared to monthly" is accurate. Yearly Ultra saves 50 percent, about $300 a year, which the page also states correctly. Only the 70 percent badge on Ultra overstates it.

A welcome price, then what?

The homepage describes a 70 percent welcome discount for new sign-ups and a super sale on the first subscription. The upgrade page does not state what a plan renews at once that first period ends, and the terms confirm that subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period. The terms also say the checkout has to tell you whether a payment recurs before you buy, so look for the renewal amount there before you pay.

Stars that expire with the period

Stars have to be used within the billing period they belong to, and Stars left over from a cancelled subscription cannot be carried into a new one. Compare that with the coin pool on HeyGF.ai, where coins pay for calls as well as media, or with the fixed passes on Lovora, which never renew at all.

The 20-credit refund rule

The refund terms are strict even for this category. A refund request is refused if the account shows more than 20 credits used, however much time has passed. Purchases made by mistake carry no guarantee of a refund. If a refund is granted, the subscription is cancelled and the remaining credits and premium access are revoked at once, and a chargeback revokes access the moment it is filed. Our explainer on how AI girlfriend credit systems work covers why refund rules tied to credits matter.

Privacy & Security

What the homepage promises

End-to-end encryption on every conversation, private chats not stored on internal servers, a one-tap delete that wipes a companion and the full history, age verification across the community, and characters built entirely from synthetic data rather than modelled on real people.

What the legal pages say

None of the encryption language appears in the privacy policy or the terms of service. The policy treats the content you provide through your account as personal data, keeps personal information for a usual six years after an account is closed, and allows retention periods to change. The terms describe an automated moderation filter on conversations with the companions and reserve the right to review flagged content manually and act on it, up to closing the account. On the positive side, GoLove says it will not sell personal information without consent and asks for opt-in consent before sharing data with other companies for marketing.

How it compares on data

Platform How long data is kept What the documents say about chats
GoLove AI Personal information usually six years after the account closes Moderation filter with manual review of flagged content; no encryption statement
Xeve.ai Chats deleted 12 months after the last message Stored in Belgium, not sold, not used for model training
Lovora Deletion immediate, complete within 30 days No ID, legal name or card number collected
HeyGF.ai No retention period stated for chats Encrypted in transit and at rest

Age checks

The service is for users 18 and over, and the homepage mentions age verification across the community. The legal documents I read do not describe how age is verified, so the confirmation at sign-up is the only check you can count on seeing.

What to share, given all this

Treat GoLove as a service where flagged conversations can be read by a person and data can outlive your account by years, and keep anything that identifies you out of the chat. That is sensible on any companion platform; here the documents give a specific reason for it.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Free text chat, voice messages and standard photos with Google sign-up and no card
  • More than 350 ready-made characters in realistic and anime styles
  • Series, streams, group photos and multi-character scenarios go well beyond chat
  • Yearly Pro works out to $4.15 a month, among the cheapest paid plans we have reviewed
  • Operator named in the terms: 404 Intelligence LTD in Cyprus

Cons

  • The homepage promises end-to-end encryption that the privacy policy and terms never mention
  • Personal information is usually kept for six years after the account is closed
  • Refunds are refused once more than 20 credits have been used
  • Struck-through prices are exactly double the real ones, and renewal prices after the welcome offer are not shown
  • The 8,000-message memory is Ultra only, although memory is sold as permanent and free

Our Verdict

GoLove AI alternatives

If privacy is the deciding factor, Lovora collects almost nothing and never renews, and Xeve.ai publishes where chats are stored and when they are deleted. For calls on a small budget, HeyGF.ai covers up to 150 minutes a month on its cheapest plan. For one plan that bundles chat, images, video and calls, see OurDream.ai. Platforms built around voice are compared in our voice chat ranking.

Who should try it

Anyone curious about AI girlfriends who wants to test properly without paying: the free tier, if it is as open as the homepage says, covers chat, voice messages and standard photos. Yearly Pro, at $4.15 a month, is also among the cheapest paid plans we have reviewed for someone who wants the adults-only content and character creation.

Who should be careful

Anyone who plans to share personal details. The homepage's privacy promises are not backed by the legal documents, data can be kept for six years after you leave, and flagged chats can be reviewed by people. Anyone who might want a refund should also read the 20-credit rule before spending the Stars that come with a plan.

Rating: 7.4, and why it is not higher

7.4 out of 10, provisional. GoLove earns that on a free tier that looks genuinely usable, a large roster, more formats than most rivals and a cheap yearly Pro plan. It loses ground on privacy claims its own documents do not support, a refund policy built to refuse, struck-through prices set at double the real ones, and memory and creator features described differently in different places. A hands-on test of the free tier's real limits and of the memory would settle the score.

Frequently Asked Questions

A browser-based AI girlfriend platform with more than 350 ready-made characters, free text chat and voice messages, and paid plans that add adults-only content, calls, character creation and Stars for images and video. It also offers series, streams, group photos and multi-character scenarios.

Yes, in the sense that it is a functioning service run by a named company, 404 Intelligence LTD, under the law of Cyprus, with published terms and a privacy policy. Being legitimate is not the same as being private, which is the bigger question here.

Safe to use with care. The homepage promises end-to-end encryption, but the privacy policy and terms never mention encryption, the terms allow flagged conversations to be reviewed manually, and personal information is usually kept for six years after an account is closed. Keep identifying details out of your chats.

Partly. According to the homepage, sign-up, regular text chat, memory, voice messages and standard photos are free. Adults-only content, calls, character creation and Stars for image and video creation need a Pro or Ultra plan.

Pro is $13.99 billed monthly or $4.15 a month billed yearly at $49.80. Ultra is $49.99 billed monthly or $24.99 a month billed yearly at $299.99. Pro includes 50 Stars a month and Ultra 250. Prices are from the upgrade page in October 2026.

The upgrade page has a promo code field and already shows welcome discounts on every plan. I did not find a public code. More useful than a code is checking the renewal price at checkout, because the discounts are presented as offers for new subscribers.

No official app. GoLove runs in the browser on phone, tablet and computer. Modified APK files that promise free premium access do not come from GoLove and are a common route for malware and stolen accounts.

The homepage describes a one-tap delete for a companion and its chat history. For your account and personal data, ask the company for deletion under the rights its privacy policy describes, and keep the confirmation, because the same policy says personal information is usually kept for six years after an account is closed.

Rarely. Requests are refused if the account shows more than 20 credits used, however much time has passed, and mistaken purchases carry no guarantee. A granted refund cancels the subscription and revokes remaining credits immediately.
