Candy Shorts Review: What It Is, What’s Free and Is It Worth It?

Quick Verdict

Candy Shorts is a real feature from an identifiable company, and it does what it promises: short, scripted, AI-generated series with a beginning, a middle and an end, inside the same account as your Candy AI companions. The free sample is decent, two full episodes of every regular series with a free account. What decides whether it is worth it is the way the rest is sold. Premium does not unlock the series on its own: each episode after the second costs tokens, and the 100 tokens included in Premium each month cover around eight episodes at the standard price.

Our view: watch the free episodes of three or four series first. If you already use Candy AI, or are about to, Premium’s monthly tokens make Shorts a pleasant extra and the cast chat ties the two together. If you only want the series, do the math on tokens before you subscribe, especially for the Spicy ones.

What Is Candy Shorts?

Candy’s help center describes Candy Shorts as short, AI-generated cinematic videos in which characters play out pre-written scenes. Each episode has its own arc, runs under two minutes and is meant to be watched in a few moments. It sits in the left-hand menu of Candy AI next to chat, image generation and character creation, and it uses the same account, the same Premium plan and the same token balance as the rest of the platform.

The important word is watch. Candy AI is built around chatting with a companion; Shorts are the opposite, a passive format where the story is written in advance and you press play. According to the help center, watching an episode does not touch your chat history or your relationship with a character, and nothing you type changes what happens on screen.

Series, not random clips

Despite the name, the Shorts library is organized as series, each one a single story told across several episodes. Of the 159 series on October 15, 2026, 142 ran exactly five episodes. The rest were longer: five series ran ten episodes, three ran 15, and the longest, My Bestie Betrayed Me, ran 34.

Shorts and Clips

The section has two tabs. Shorts is the library: a featured banner on top, filters underneath and a grid of series posters. Clips is a vertical feed in the style of a social video app, which plays the opening episode of one series after another, with a Watch More button that takes you into the full series. Clips is the fastest way to sample the library; Shorts is where you go once you know what you want.

Spicy series

Fourteen series carry a Spicy label, with a filter of their own. They are treated differently from the rest: visitors without an account cannot open them, free accounts see every episode locked, and Premium members get the first two episodes included and pay more tokens than usual for the rest. The other filters make the audience of the whole library clear: stepsister, stepmom, wife, taboo, fantasy, teacher and maid are among them. Most series are romance or relationship drama written for adults, with a smaller group of fantasy, sci-fi and sports stories.

What Candy Shorts is not

Two other Candy AI features are easy to mix up with Shorts. Interactive Stories let your choices steer an episode, while Shorts have no choices at all. Build Your Video lets you assemble a clip of your own from preset options for the character, action, location and partner, and is paid for with tokens like every generated video; Shorts are finished episodes produced by Candy.

How Candy Shorts Works

Finding a series

The library opens on a rotating banner of featured series with a Play button, followed by the filters: All series, New, Spicy and a row of themes. A New Episodes badge marks series that have just received episodes; 17 series carried it on October 15, 2026. The search bar at the top of Candy AI covers characters, shorts and creators, so you can also find a series by name.

The player

The player has the controls you would expect from a streaming app: play and pause, a progress bar, playback speed from half speed to double, and full screen. Subtitles come in seven languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. The episode list runs alongside the video, with a lock on every episode you cannot watch yet.

Chat with the Cast

This is the feature that makes Shorts more than a video library. Under the player, 136 of the 159 series offered a Chat with the Cast link that opens a conversation with the character from the series. The story on screen does not change, but you can carry on with the character in Candy AI’s normal chat, which is where the platform is strongest. New series and episodes

The Shorts page advertises new episodes every week, while the help center is more careful: it says new episodes and series are added over time but does not guarantee a release schedule. In practice the library has grown fast, so the numbers on this page are a snapshot of October 15, 2026 rather than a fixed size.

Is Candy Shorts Free?

Partly. Access depends on whether you have an account, and the rules were the same in every series we checked on October 15, 2026.

With a free account that adds up to 290 free episodes out of 915, the first two of each of the 145 regular series, a little under a third of the library. Without an account it is the first episode of each regular series. No series is free from start to finish.

For a five-episode series, two free episodes are a real sample. You see the setup, the characters and the production quality, and you get a sense of where the story is heading before deciding whether the last three are worth the tokens. For the long series, the free part works more like a trailer.

What a free Candy AI account adds

The free account that unlocks episode two is a full Candy AI account. According to the help center, it also lets you send up to five chat messages in total across all characters, create one custom character and generate one image. It does not unlock any locked episode; those need Premium.

Is there a legal way to watch everything free?

No. Beyond the free episodes, Candy AI has no free route to locked episodes and no free trial of Premium on its plans page. Full episodes that appear on other websites are not official releases; the FAQ at the end of this page explains why we would stay away from them.

Candy Shorts Series Worth Starting With

With 159 series in the library, the hardest part is choosing where to begin. These six cover its range, from drama and sci-fi to sports and comedy. All six are regular series: episode one plays without an account, episode two with a free account, and the rest cost 12 tokens each on Premium.

How Much Does Candy Shorts Cost?

Watching beyond the free episodes takes two things: a Candy AI Premium subscription and tokens. Premium is what unlocks the locked episodes for purchase and the Spicy series; tokens are what you spend to open each episode.

Premium plans

These are the plans on Candy AI’s Premium page on October 15, 2026, in US dollars.

Every plan includes unlimited text chat, image and video generation, Live Action and 100 tokens a month, the same allowance the terms of service describe. The badges on the page, 70% off for a year, 35% off for three months and 29% off the first month, are measured against $13.99, which is the real monthly price, so the discounts are genuine. The monthly plan opens at $9.99 and renews at $13.99 from the second month. Whatever the badges say, compare the amount billed upfront and the renewal price.

Token prices per episode

Unlocking is permanent. The unlock screen describes an unlocked episode as yours forever, in HD and without ads, so you never pay twice for the same episode. Keep in mind that the terms of service also allow Candy to remove content at its discretion without a refund.

What 100 tokens buy

A typical regular series has five episodes, two of them free, so finishing it costs 36 tokens. The monthly allowance therefore covers two typical series and a couple of episodes of a third, as long as you spend no tokens on images, voice messages or calls. A five-episode Spicy series costs 90 or 150 tokens to finish, so the most expensive ones are beyond a single month’s allowance. Unlocking every locked episode in the library on October 15, 2026 would have taken 9,424 tokens.

Extra tokens are sold in packs to Premium members; a free account that opens the tokens page is sent to the Premium plans instead. Tokens also pay for the rest of Candy AI, so Shorts compete with images, voice messages, calls and private content for the same balance. Cancelling and refunds

You cancel from My Profile, then Settings, where an Unsubscribe button sits next to your subscription details. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and tokens left on the account stay there. Refunds are a separate request to support, and the terms are strict. A subscription refund must be requested within 24 hours of the payment and is refused if more than 20 tokens have been used, which means that unlocking two episodes at 12 tokens is already enough to lose it. Token packs can only be refunded within 24 hours and only if the tokens have not been used. Only card payments qualify, problems on your side, such as your device or connection, are excluded, and residents of the EU and UK have a separate section of the refund terms.

Is Candy Shorts Legit and Safe?

Yes, in the sense that matters most: it is part of a real service run by a company you can identify. Candy AI and its Shorts section are operated by EverAI Ltd., registered in Malta under number C107181, with its address in Santa Venera. Candy AI’s terms of service were last revised on September 22, 2026.

What to check before you pay

• The address bar. Premium and tokens are sold inside Candy AI. Review sites, this one included, do not sell Candy Shorts, so a page asking for your card details for Candy Shorts on an unrelated domain is not Candy.
• The amount billed today. The annual plan bills the full $47.88 upfront, not $3.99.
• The token price of the series you want. It is shown on each locked episode. A Spicy series at 50 tokens an episode is a different budget from a regular one at 12.
• The renewal date. Put a reminder in your calendar a few days before it. Once a renewal has gone through, the refund window is only 24 hours.
• The statement name. The charge shows as EverAI rather than Candy. That is discreet, but easy to forget; Candy’s help center has a page about it for exactly that reason.

Privacy and leaving

Watching Shorts does not change anything in your chats or in what your companions remember. If you want to leave entirely, you delete the account from Settings, in a section called Danger Zone; Candy says this removes your preferences, history and personal information, though some data is kept for periods required by law. Where to Watch Candy Shorts and the App

The home of Candy Shorts is the Shorts section of Candy AI, at candy.ai/candy-shorts, which is where Candy’s help center sends you. That is where the free episodes, the token unlocks, the Spicy series and the cast chat all live, on the same account as your companions. Is there a Candy Shorts app?

Not in the app stores. Candy’s help center says Candy AI has no native iPhone or Android app and works instead as a progressive web app: open the site in Safari or Chrome on your phone, choose Add to Home Screen, and it installs with its own icon and without the browser bar. Is Candy Shorts made with AI?

Yes. The help center calls the episodes AI-generated cinematic videos, and Candy AI’s terms of service describe the platform as a service built on AI-generated characters and media. That includes the series built around well-known real-world creators: they use the creator’s likeness, and Candy describes every Short as AI-generated.

Is Candy Shorts Worth It?

It depends almost entirely on whether you use Candy AI for anything else.

Worth it if

• You already chat on Candy AI or plan to. Premium is then a cost you are paying anyway, its monthly tokens cover a couple of series, and Chat with the Cast lets you carry on with the characters you liked on screen.
• You like short, serialized stories you can watch in a couple of minutes, and the free episodes of a few series have hooked you.
• You stick to regular series at 12 tokens an episode, where the included allowance goes furthest.

Not worth it if

• You want a large library for a flat price. Premium alone unlocks little beyond the Spicy openers; almost every other locked episode costs tokens, and the full library would take thousands of them.
• You mainly want the Spicy series. At 30 to 50 tokens an episode, one month’s allowance does not finish more than one of them.
• You want to steer the story. Shorts are fixed scripts; for video that reacts to you, look at the formats in the next section.

Our suggestion

Start in the Clips feed, then watch the free episodes of the three or four series that held you. Before subscribing, check the token price on episode three of the series you want to finish and count how many you will watch in a month. If the answer is two or three regular series and you will use the chat too, Premium is good value, and the annual plan is the better deal by a wide margin. Finished episodes with a plot, written and produced by the platform. This is Candy Shorts. You get a story and a level of polish you could not prompt yourself, but no control over what happens.

Clips you generate

Short videos of your own companion, made on request and usually paid for with tokens or credits.
